The response to Carter & Carter's debut album 'Dance Away The Night' has been incredible.
After releasing the first single 'You Were There' in June 2000 they have had an almost continuous presence in the charts. The first single went to number #6 on the National Country Tracks Top 30 in Australia. The second single and title track 'Dance Away the Night' went all the way to #1 and stayed there for 2 weeks. Their third award winning song (2001 Country & Gospel Song of the Year) 'A Little Place Called Love' also went all the way to #1. The album itself has picked up several awards and loads of nominations.
Carter & Carter also picked up two more prestigious awards at the Australian Independent Awards. They were awarded 2001 Album of the Year for'Dance Away The Night' and 2001 Artist of the Year.
Apart from the 3 singles released so far there are 8 other fantastic songs on the album including a duet with one of the well known stars of Australian country Darren Coggan on the hit song 'Show Me Heaven'.
